Highland Conservancy is working to protect HIGHLAND NATURE PARK
The Highland Conservancy (HC) is working with Highland Township officials and Six Rivers Land Conservancy to protect a hidden jewel in Highland, the nature park north of the library and northwest of Downy lake. Our goal is to permanently protect this public park for future generations to enjoy. Our hope is to conduct ongoing stewardship of this area along with Oakland County's newest park, Highland Oaks. Our vision for this park is more along the lines of a nature preserve with quiet trails along paths that already exist. If you are interested in this project or other projects, please call 248-887-4643 for more info. For details on our work creating another park, Highland Oaks, read the interview with HC member Ron Flannery.
